This study analyzes dowel diameter, clearance or interference fit value, 15 and dowel spacing by using the orthogonal experiment method. Optimum parameters for double 16 dowels in medium density fiberboard component structures were obtained by orthogonal 17 experiment and verified by simulation using ANSYS finite element analysis software. Experimental 18 and simulation-based results revealed that the optimal parameters for double dowel joints with 19 maximum tensile strength were a dowel diameter of 10.00mm, an interference fit of 0.20mm, and a 20 spacing of 64.00mm.The optimal parameters for double dowel joints with maximum bending 21 strength were a dowel diameter of 10.00mm, an interference fit of 0.10mm, and a spacing of 22 48.00mm. 23

Effect of nanosilver (NS) on the heat-transferring rate to the core section of medium density fiberboard (MDF) mat was studied here. A 400 ppm aqueous nanosilver suspension was used at three consumption levels of 100, 150, and 200 mL/kg, based on the weight of dry wood fibers; the results were then compared with the control MDF panels. The size range of nanosilver was 30-80 nm. Results showed t...

This study was aimed to study the probability about the production of fiberboard made of durian rind through latex with phenolic resin as binding agent. The durian rind underwent the boiling process with NaOH [7], [8] and then the fiber from durian rind was formed into fiberboard through heat press. This means that durian rind could be used as replacement for plywood in plywood industry by usin...
